How to choose a right course or teacher?
The main point when choosing a teacher is a goal πͺπͺπͺ That might be abstract or practical. For example, I'll show my discussion with my friend about learning English.
My friend: "I want to learn English. I want to travel in Europe"
I: "Why? How will English help for traveling?"
My friend: "Hm... What do you mean? π€"
I: "Tell about cases where you want to use English"
β¦.5 minutes laterβ¦.
My friend: "I can't, I'm a stupor π "
"To learn English for traveling" is the abstract goal. You can't know how that will help in practice. You just heard English helps travel.
But if you ask me how English will help in travels I'll answer the following, "I have to ask how to find this street. Or explain to a hostess why Wi-Fi doesn't work". I'll list cases that will be in my life when I travel.
Folks, listen up here a minute, please. I'll choose a man who made that. The man who solved the problem with Wi-Fi. Who made an order in a restaurant. Who has experience in daily life like a tourist. This man will be my teacher π¨βππ¨βππ¨βπ
So when I want to learn something I write a list of my goals. Think about how I'll use that in my life. Then I look for the man who does that already.
